UK Market Brief: US Engagement Giant Acquires C2events

1 Mins read

ITA Group, a prominent US-headquartered provider of employee and customer engagement solutions, has strengthened its presence in the UK and Europe with the acquisition of C2events, a specialist event management agency based in West Yorkshire.

The strategic move is part of a growing trend of US firms consolidating expertise in the UK market to enhance global delivery capabilities, particularly within the highly regulated healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. C2events, founded in 2004, has managed events across 20 countries and will now integrate its 40 team members into the larger US organisation.

Focus on Talent and Cultural Integration

The acquisition highlights the increasing focus on cultural alignment as a key factor in M&A success. ITA Group, which is employee-owned and reports a high 96% staff retention rate, stressed that C2events shares a strong cultural commitment to service excellence and team member well-being.

The UK team members and existing leadership will remain integral to operations and will transition into ITA Group’s employee-ownership culture. This model is seen as a crucial strategic asset for ensuring stability and retaining specialised talent during the disruptive phase of corporate integration.

Implications for the Engagement Sector

The move reinforces ITA Group’s event solutions team, which now comprises over 400 team members globally. C2events’ expertise in European event management and local compliance complements ITA Group’s existing UK offices in London and Ipswich.

This consolidation signals that large international engagement firms are actively seeking deep, in-region expertise and established processes to deliver comprehensive global solutions across employee and customer engagement programmes, incentive travel, and event marketing.
